Design
Also referred to as flight watches, the Santos Dumont collection comes from an evolution from the watchmaker’s first flight watch history. The Cartier Dumont Microrotor collection comes with the motif of the Demoiselle designed by Dumont himself making it some of the most beautiful Cartier watches. The watch features a skeletonized movement with 212 parts that also act as indices thanks to their unique bridging style. The Dumont Microrotor also comes with a new calibre 9629 MC movement which took 2 years to complete.
The Cartier Dumont Microrotor collection comes with 3 different models with different colors a steel case, a yellow gold case, and, a rose gold case variant. The most popular one will be the yellow gold model with its 150 example run and its unique lacquer work done with deliberate precision.
